This first site is a walk-through of Android development from the Android Developer website itself. It takes you through downloading Eclipse and the Android SDK, your first "Hello World" app, and gradually teaches you how to make more interesting apps. A good starting place.

A coursera course on Android development. It has a bunch of lectures that do a good job of explaining how to write apps. Same idea as the Android developer walk-through, but easier to understand by listening to someone explain it.
